Canivan & McGinnis’ Horseshoeing and Wagon Repair stood on 6th Street in the 1900s. My Great Grandfather was one-half of the namesake. Although the structure is long since gone, this wistful leather scent recalls the blacksmith aprons and the horse saddles that once occupied the site.
